You’re in the final years of high school- or maybe you’ve just left. Hurrah!

Of course you’re feeling excited, what comes next might be a course at college, a new job, an apprenticeship or a place at uni. Or you might not quite know what you want to do. The shift from kind-of-knowing what comes next-because each year you’ve known about a new mix of subjects, different teachers, classmates, timetable- to not knowing what’s ahead might feel pretty overwhelming. Quite a strange mixture of excitement and anxiety.

Some of these questions might ring true-

Will I manage to get out of bed and get there on time?

Who’s going to be my boss and will they go easy on me?

What happens if I make a mistake?

If I find it boring what am I going to do then?

Will I make new friends? And will I be as cool, popular and clever as them?

Can I make the right decision for me?

What if I fail?

I can help you with these sorts of worries along with lots more! I’m not a teacher, a friend, a colleague or a flatmate. Being completely separate and impartial means I’m unbiased, I’m not emotionally attached to you though I will be patient, empathic and kind. I will listen to you as you talk things through then we can explore a bit more together. While I won’t tell you what you should do- that’s not my job- what I will do is suggest different ways of looking at your situation.
